Music is everything to me.
I have been lucky enough to grow up with a very musical family. My dad has that country-down home duet band with my Step-mom, easy to listen to and relatable. My Mom, insert smile, has the rocker chick buried not-so-deep down...meaning my child hood is laced with memories of late nights begging her to shut up the drummer and turn down the base so I could sleep...
Music, listening to it, playing it, learning it, has been a constant in my life where it felt like everything else changed drastically, all the time. I quickly began to find identity in being a "musician", and found songs that really felt like narratives to my life, and shaped the perspective I saw through. For me, every song that I write is an expression of what's inside, and usually is more vulnerable than any words I could tell you. Yet I feel safe there. So, here are the songs I want to share with you. My biggest hope is I can do for people through music, what others have done for me through their music. Find honesty, find something to relate to, find something that brings hope, or puts words to those un-voiceable feelings.
